Haven't read anything exciting in a while, but this article from wsj.com caught my attention. It explores how physicists are using big data technologies to trace word origins and their usage over time. It is yet another exciting example of how data crunching is fast eliminating the divide between science and humanities when it comes to research. Click here for a link to the wsj.com article.
